Rajouri,August 19: In order to review the various developmental works under the execution of Rural Development Department, the District Development Commissioner,Rajouri,Mohammad Aijaz Asad today chaired a meeting of concerned officers here in the Conference Hall of DDC office.

A threadbare discussion was held during the meeting on various points including 
Initiation of work projected during B2V programme, progress regarding construction of bunkers,registration of beneficiaries under PMAY scheme,opening of accounts for the panchayats,execution of works under 14th FC.

While taking review of initiation of works reflected during the ambitious back to village programme,the Assistant Commissioner Development Akther Qazi said that one work in each panchayat has been identified  in the district. He informed that the works shall also be taken up under 14th FC and an amount of 50 crores has been released  for the execution of work.

In connection with the progress of bunker construction under the execution of RDD, the block development officers briefed the DDC about the physical and financial status of bunkers being constructed in their blocks.It was informed that more than 500 bunkers have been completed and the rest will be completed within the shortest possible time.

Regarding the registration of beneficiaries under PMAY scheme, the block development officers informed about the number of beneficiaries registered till date. They said that the process of registration is in progress and will be completed shortly.

About the status of opening of dedicated bank accounts in each panchayat,it was highlighted that a bank account has been opened in each panchayat and 14th FC funds have been received in the same account. 

During the meeting, DDC directed the Block Development Officers to prepare the estimate for the works reflected during the back to village programme within four days so that the works can be started immediately. He said that the said work should be taken up on top priority.The exhorted the officers to take full care of quality of work while executing work on the bunkers. He also urged upon the officers to speed up the work on the bunkers so that they can be handed over to the border residents well in time.He asked the BDOs to increase the number of beneficiaries under the PMAY scheme so that mass population can be benefitted.DDC also directed the Block Development officers to clear the wage liability under MGNREGA at the earliest,as the funds to the tune of ₹11.00 crores  have been released for the same.

During the meeting it was also decided that a maga poultry farms will be established at district headquarters Rajouri. In the regard the DDC directed the concerned officers to submit a detailed plan along with the identified site within weeks time.

Regarding the opening of maize Mandi at siot,the DDC directed the Block Development Officer siot to start work at identified  land. The setting up of Maize Mandi will give a boost to a variety of Maize grown in Siot. The need for opening of maize Mandi at siot was raised during the public outreach camp held at siot. 

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Shama-Un Ahmed,Assistant Commissioner Development Akhter Qazi,,Chief sheep Husbandry officer,Chief Animal Husbandry officer,officers for agriculture Department, Horticulture department,District Panchayat Officer Dr.Abdul Khabir and concerned Block Development Officers.
